Greetings and a Happy Thanksgiving to all from all us Katrina survivors.
DSSGA is alive, but dampened quite a bit.
Our session for Dec 3 is sadly cancelled due to all the work that is going on in this area. our VFW building is still being used as a bunk house and office space for the Army Corp of Engineers. One half of the ball room is being used for a bunk room, the other half is used for offices to keep track of all the work orders. The lounge area is just not conducive to properly contain our end of the year and Christmas session. We will be looking at Feb. 4th. for our next really big show. Hopefully, the hotels/motels will have recapturerd some of their rooms from Katrina by that time. I will post a statement to this effect later. Currently we do not have any vacant rooms here on the coast for many miles in every direction. Workers and homeless from the storm quickly filled the ones that were not destroyed. DSSGA really appreciates the most welcome support from all its members and freinds and fans who have attended our past sessions. Hope to see you all again in Feb. And keep in mind that this will be in time for Mardi Gras and many parades and parties will be going on all over the coast as Katrina can not stop the good times=let the good times roll. DSSGA will sound off loud and clear on Feb. 4th. 2006. WOW, 2006! Hard to believe! Hope to see you all then. Thanks so much for a really big year in spite of the storm of the centuries.

This is dissappointing news, but it's good to know that all of you in the area survived and will still be around in February. In the meantime I look forward to seeing everyone Sunday at the Medicare Jam.

Hope Mr. Buck and Ms. Mitzi can be there too, maybe I can steal some of his great licks! And to my friend Billy Carr,(aka Lloyd Green #2) save me some of those speed licks (Lloyd)!!!!! Most of you in Mississippi know that I have left the area and moved to Texas. I had planned to try and be there for the December get together. I should be able to make it in February. There is quite a bit more activity here than on the coast. This Sunday, my brother Dave and I are going to the benefit for Tommy Morrell in Ft. Worth. There will be a lot ofgood players there I am sure.
I am looking forward to February when I can get back down to visit with you all.
