Len..These are tuned and played much as a six string guitar, they are marketed as an alternative to actually learning to play the banjo. Check with 'Elderly Instruments', they may carry a solid body electric version (such as a 'Goldtone').

Thanks for the info. I can actually play a 5 string banjo a bit but am more adapt to the 6 string guitar so it could be fun to play a 6 string banjo/guitar setup.

Regards,

Lenny

I wish more people would play Sonny Osborne's 6-string banjo. A 5 string with a full-length low G
"Everybody has a banjo that goes 'ping.' Mine goes 'Pong.'"

You might consider a Line 6 Variax. The banjo patch is one of the most realistic ones on the guitar. And of course, you have all the other sounds. (Tele, strat, Les Paul, Hollow body, acoustic, sitar etc.)

if you run into an old stew mac cast pot, or any other banjo pot for that matter i can adapt a neck, i have had great sucess with squires, peavy raptor or about any other bolt on neck that has the truss rod adjustment at the head
