I would also like to take this time to salute all of our Vets and to take the time
to remember all of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. My prayers go out to them and their families. Thanks to all the veterans, we are free to enjoy the little pleasures of life like playing music.

Thank you for the thoughts..
And I wish to add my thanks to all the other Vets, who have, and continue to serve our country..especially to those that are in harms way, and will be going in harms way to help protect and defend our great country..
It is a noble and necessary thing you do..may He guide and keep you all safe from harm as you do your jobs and your duty...and return each of you safely to your home and hearth, and your friends, family and loved ones...
Peace to all of you....
May you have 'smooth sailing, fair winds ,and following seas'....

Today marks 60 years since I was discharged after WWII . Just 20 days short of 3 years.
I was drafted on December 1,1942 just 10 days before my 21st birthday.
On this Veterans Day, I want to honor all the veterans of all those years, and now all the military service people of today, doing their duty in these terrible times.
God Bless them and I hope they will all be home soon.....al

I read the posts in this thread and with tears in my eyes, my thoughts turn to all of the men and women who have served or are now serving in the Armed Forces. Not all of my memories of my service are pleasant, but I did what I had to do and was lucky enough to make it home. That is/was not the case for a lot of others. As one of the lucky veterans who did make it home, I ask that you pray with me that there will be many more safe returns for those who are currently serving this great country of ours.
