Yesterday was the third annual Arizona Carport Pickers Jam and what fun it was.The A TEAM BAND,Denny Sarver on upright bass and
Ron Corbin on drums, hard to beat!!
Nine steel players, two lead guitar players
and a good fiddle all came and played, what
fun we had, and I mean ALL DAY LONG, we started playin about 10:30 in the morning and played till around 6:00.
We only stoped one time and let me tell you why. Dixie Jenkins fix up some BB pork and some BB beans deviled egges and all the salad's to go with it, man what a feast!!!!
It was kinda a memorial jam for Hal Rugg since he was there for the first one and loved the carport jam soo much.
Now the EVEN BETTER news is, Ray might be planning a Bi-Annual Carport Jam for toward the end of March, man can't wait for that one.

One of these days I'm gonna clear my calendar so I can be there. I keep hearing how much fun it is and I know I'd love the visiting part especially.
Glad you guys had another great one.

Uff Da Fred! I bet we had a better "Country" sound here in Gold Canyon than in Nashville on Sunday. Fun bunch and perfect weather. I thought we might have to find a fire extinguisher after the fiddle and steels played "Orange Blossom Special".
That was really something to listen to and with Denny & Ron backing; man what a job you did!
We'll hold Ray to the next one in March; I told him yesterday that if the weather sounds doubtful; he can have it in my garage.
Thanks again Ray and Dixie for hosting a fun day for us "pickers".
