But, that IS how I clean my lacquer finish Fessenden. Am I doing something wrong? Could this be why it's all rusty underneath and there's mildew under the finish?

Now that's dang funny. That's a lot of trouble to go through for a one time, first class practical joke.
Good Job Rick. |

Well, it ain't as good as my system of running thru the car wash with it. The plus is you get your clothes washed, too. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

That was glorious. Probably made several steelers have a pucker power of 10 or better and I am glad you explained it at the end. Outstanding job!!! |

Outstanding!
One question, were you at all tempted to leave the second part of the video over till, say, next week? I know I would have been...
Really funny...

This method of cleaning a pedal steel guitar is not very effective.
Sandblasting is the only way to go. |

I thought you had stepped off the deep end there for a minute. From a distance, the model looks real. |

oh darn it....
I saw the only first minute and thought it was such a great idea... so I rushed washing my pedal steel!
What happens in the last part of the video?
I do hope you'll teach us how to dry and wax!
Very nice joke, Rick! |

The story about Ralph Mooney doing that with his Fender is true. The singer I work with saw it - said he went to Moon's house, in California, one morning and there was Moon with a hose washing off his guitar. Moon told him somone had barfed on it the night before. |

Rick, you need to make one more video.
Picture this:
Your wife comes out and power washes you, the player of the guitar,
__ result, clean steel guitar, clean steel guitar player. |

Its a bit late now, but you should turn off comments for the video. I happened to read a comment that said it was a joke before it got to the good stuff and it ruined the punchline.
Still an amazing video though, and a great laugh. Way to go the extra mile to make someone smile. |
