I have had the pleasure of knowing Jerry for the past 15 years when I first started playing his guitars, and he has become a great friend as well as a great builder. I love the way they play, and my tone has been exactly what I have always heard in my head.
Jerry has a new CD out called "Dust Bowl" that I have been enjoying listening to lately. Nice collection of western swing featuring Jerry on both steel and guitar. Forumite brother Doug Livingston plays keys, Nashville stalwart Dave Smith is on bass, and it is topped off with the fine fiddle of Reggie Reuffer from Charlie Pride's band. Nice tune selection, and just a great listen overall...
Sweet playing by all..check it out!

Well put John. He will have it for sale at his booth in St. Louis. As soon as you read this Jerry, leave the post on your computer screen, grab the box of CD's and take it to your car. Then walk back to the computer and make a check mark with Whiteout on the screen. |

Hey Macy,
I've been enjoying "Dust Bowl" myself! What a fine CD by our friend Jerry!
I know he worked hard on this recording and is sounds great!
Jerry's got a great tone and feel...sounds like a steel guitar should sound. My favorite song is Corrina Corrina....
A lot of other great Texas tunes on the CD as well, great playing by some great players.

Jerry's new CD, "Dust Bowl" is a fun romp through the classic Texas music repertoire with some of the top players anywhere on board, including David Smith (bass), Doug Livingston (aka 'Earnest Bovine')(keys), Reggie Reuffer (fiddle), and Joey Provost (drums). Jerry (who plays both steel and lead guitar on this disc) takes us through such gems as Beaumont Rag, Bubbles in my Beer, Westfalia Waltz, Keeper of My Heart, and about 10 more Texas music standards. Jerry delivers that clean steel guitar sound for which he, and Fessenden steel guitars, are known, and it's a special treat to have guest appearances from Doug Jernigan and Terry Crisp on the album. A great addition to any steel guitar lover's CD collection! _________________ www.JimCohen.com
