Hi everyone!
I play pedal steel (along with some other instruments) in a roots/rock band, The Blue James Band, and we will be headed down the East Coast over the next two weeks, through VA, NC, SC, GA, and FL on our Summer Tour. I just wanted to put the good word out there if anyone is in the area and likes to support live music, come on out!! Would love to meet some new steel guitar friends!
Thanks,
Liz

So glad to hear from the female side of us steel pickers, Don't remember seeing you on this forum before, so Welcome Liz. Sounds like your tour is a whirlwind of one niters, have a blast. I am glad Roots Rockers are using steel guitars, since I know it fits well with just about any music you throw at it. Liz, are you playing C-6th with this gig? Take care Liz. _________________ Bill Bailey

Hi Bill, thanks for the welcome! I totally agree, steel will sound good in almost any genre!! I am playing a double neck steel guitar (GFI D10) but I've been using E9 a lot more lately. I think it's because I"m more comfortable with that neck and have been playing it longer. C6 definitely will be VERY awesome when I get a little more comfortable with it. |
