Just wanted to give a shout out for Jason York and his Red Dirt Flight Cases. Excellent friendly service and a fast turn around on a really nice product in my opinion. This is my Mullen G2.

Excellent cases Bill - I like the way you have configured that 2nd case to have some compartments for "STUFF" _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

Hi Paddy. I asked Jason how the leg case was configured and said " we can do pretty much whatever you want". So it is partitioned for the volume pedal and then whatever else you want in the other compartment. _________________ Bill Cunningham

Bill they are excellent cases, I have checked them out at the Dallas show in the past ... if my current wheeled Bob Dell case ever gives up the ghost I will be going with a Red Dirt. _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I have one of his cases.. they are awesome.. fit like a glove.. GREAT wheels... mine has been to Europe and back and all over the continent and it is holding up great!
I had another wheeled case and the design was awful and not nearly as quality as the Red Dirt... I highly recommend them. |

they are pretty heavy cases... my SD10 probably weighs 60 lbs
I dont like a separate case for rods and such since its just one more thing I can forget....
but a 60lb case and steels with wheels is easier for me than a 45lbs without.
Jason has you take a LOT of measurements for the guitar before they build it for you... although then they keep the template I think so if you have a Lloyd Green Show Pro you should be good to go! |

Jason built one for my Show Pro and its fits perfectly . My guitar doesn't move at all. Great customer service and an excellent investment to protect your guitar. _________________ Show Pro #26 & #83,BJS bars,Stereo Steel,Tommy Huff cabs loaded with JBL D130's, Wampler pedals,NV112,NV400, Steelers Choice Seats |

I've reached an age where downsizing is desirable--er-mandatory. I just configured a Gator soft keyboard case for my guitar with a fitted board to protect the strings. I got a guitar gig bag to carry the pedals, rods and legs. Works great.
After back surgery last summer, I needed to ease up on the heavy lifting. I'd bought a semi-hard keyboard case the year before but it weighs 20 lbs., same as a hard case. The new keyboard case weighs 5 lbs. plus a couple of lbs. for the string board and I use a folding dolly to roll it to the car, etc. My main guitar is a Zum S12U and it's easily moved in the new case minus the legs, rods and pedals. Those ride in the gig bag. I can send pictures if anyone's interested in this rig. It's made gigs much more fun and I don't have to give up the pedal steel.
I do have a flight case for the guitar but I'll need help moving it if I ever actually use it. It weighs about the same as the guitar itself. ;~) That works out to about 75 lbs. No thanks! |

Bill what does the case with the guitar body in it |
Paddy,
My Mullen D-10 w/ 9+9 weighs 61 lbs. for the guitar case. The smaller case for pedal bar and rods is about 35 lbs. As a Delta frequent flyer, due to my day job, I can check 3 bags up to 70 lbs. each at no charge. So this works good for now. _________________ Bill Cunningham
