Had a great time in Branson yesterday...hearing forumite Steve Matlock nail the kickoff on "Houston", playing behind the Gatlins...then some nice stuff with Pam...just a very enjoyable matinee. Also saw an old friend Darren Favorite, Pam's bandleader...Darren is the step son of my old boss Jimmie Snow. Weather was awesome, traffic was not bad, music was great...good combination.

Just got back---got to the show about 10 minutes late and came in when Larry was doing a monolog -- Pam came on next and then intermission and when The Gatlins came on the second half, Pam's band was gone. It was the last show of the season for them. soooooo no Houston !! - Did get to see our friends Steve and Bruce Hoffman doing a fine job in Pam's band however.

Larry, Does Steve Matlock play steel for Pam tillis??. I was at the show about the 15th of sept. and Gene Mulvaney was playing steel. I just assumed that he was Pams steel man. Just curious if you knew.

The answer is that Steve normally plays the "Branson" dates only...to be honest, I don't know who would be considered her 'player' when she's not in Branson...I'll trust Brett on that one.

Steve has plenty on his plate the rest of the year, being husband, daddy (four girls), and business man.

Bill,

Steve is a good friend and one fine player. I wish I had the chance to go hear him.
