I get asked a lot how I pick so fast. I'm sure some of it is genetics. However, a person still must develop (train if you will) to make everything function to the highest skill level. That said, this is a simple example of how I practice speed. On this video, you will see me practicing at tempos of 170, 180, 190. Now, I never play songs that fast but I find that practicing at rates that are faster helps me to develop. Then when I play songs at 150 or as high as 160 then it just seems easier. I know it is a bit insane but seriously when I am truly practicing I will do this same thing for at least 30 minutes straight at each tempo. Sometimes I hear cats and dogs barking outside.

Zane that is insane 
I'm looking forward to seeing you in the Jackson room this weekend. I could use a few more tips on my picking. The info you gave me in Dallas has helped my playing tremendously.

I know I am so exited. The Jacksons are building me a BJC, it wont be done for the show but i think they are bringing the cabinet to show (its charcoal color).
