I was wondering how many have this. I am only 38 years old but my right hand starts to hurt after not playing that long. It's a real pain, no pun intended. I wonder how many professional player have this and how do they deal with it. And how can they play an entire gig? |

The left hand should guide the Steel Bar over and up and down the strings with only enough pressure to get a good tone. You are probably holding the Steel Bar too tightly and it is cramping your hand ! _________________ Sacramento Western Swing Society Hall of Fame, 1992 |

Does your left wrist make either a hump or a dip where it transitions from arm to hand?
Bad back-of-guitar height causes that in just half an hour of playing. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
