Not very common, but very decent quality.Well worth fixing up.I remember seeing ads in the Sixties for Guild amps with cosmetics like yours. If you can find a model name and get a date code from the speaker(if it's original)you can probably get some comparables from Ebay and US retail prices from Gbase.com.Cool little amp!

It looks similar to this amp ---> Click Here

Here is a link to a site for Guild enthusiasts. Lots of photos. Someone there may be able to give you more info on your amp.

My Blue Book (Fjestad, 3rd Ed) shows 2 Guilds with 12" speaker and six knobs... if you'd post the model number we'd have an easier time, btw.

First model, 66-J, 20W,1-12 in Jensen, six tubes, two channels, tremolo, four inputs, six knobs, (v1,v2,b,t,s,i), mid-50's to 1965, excellent $300-350, average $150-200.

Next model, 99-J, 30W, seven tubes, same other specs, excellent $350-425, average $200-250.

I would venture to guess that that amp was manufactured by Ampeg for Guild.

the best (and maybe only) way to check out little oddball amps is to play whatever instrument you want through them. this will give you an indication of their value to 'you'. if you are trying to capitalize on something you know nothing about, i wish you poorly.

this amp might be cool for a certain lapsteel application, but you'd have to try it.

A whole lot like a tweed Tremolux with separate treble and bass controls and a little more power for $35 less list price when new.Not bad at all. Very Happy

I agree with Steve, most likely made by Ampeg and similar to their Mercury model.
