I was wondering about the RKR.
Will it drop to C# on the second string?
I use that Curly chaulker Lick in my
instructions as It also helps with
timing for some, also .
My jackson does all that.but wondering
about the one in Fed x's truck.
Fellow here in Las Vegas ,Gary watson,
Can usually fix anything on a pedal steel,
but curiosity has got me on this one.
Thanks for any and all help.

Bill, Just from my bad memory, it drop a half tone or a full tone one or the other, but not both.
Did you leave Texas and go back to Vegas? |

Bill, the Stage One can only do what it came delivered to do. You would need to have Doug send you the parts to make any modification. If you have a real good and trusted steel tech, you might be able to get it done. I had the same question as you when I got mine, and that's what I learned. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

Fred, Doug said that if you move the rod to the higher hole on the finger, you can get C# _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

That may work Lane, but that rod is one of the "Red" ones that you're not supposed to mess with. I know how to turn a wrench and screwdriver, but that doesn't mean I'm the most mechanical person you'd want to work with. I'd like some reassurance that I could get it back in and working right again quick and without a headache. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord,

Yes Lane that's what Doug told me too. He did recommend to me at the time to have new clips on hand in case the old ones are not in usable shape after taking them off. It did sound dicey to me, but hey, I'm not no mechanic. _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

The range of mods available to the stage one is only limited by your comfort level and having the tools available to make them. Just as an example, I made the following mods to my stage one.
1.String 1 stop sanded down to allow more travel so I could pull a whole step instead of a half.
2.String 2 rod moved so as to allow the whole step drop to C#
3. String 6 - added a lower to F#
4. String 9 - added a lower to C#
These guitars weren't designed for user changes, but they don't prevent you from doing so either. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |

Hey Bill!
Hope things are good. So you got a Stage One coming? Great! Let me know when you got it set up for lessons.
Going to see Mickey Adams at Saddle & Spurs tonight. |
