The serial number indicates 1984-1987. Originally was a Floyd Rose style tremolo (Useless IMHO). Replaced with a 1962 RI tremolo and correct pick-guard as well as new "aged" knobs. Former owner had his luthier fret dress it. Plays and sounds great. I have a Bass guitar bag to ship it in. Set up with 11's right now. Finish has scratches and dings, not perfect. I have the original pick-guard and tremolo (some parts are stripped in it)

$395.00 and actual shipping.

"useless" come on Ken don't you get the urge to do a little dive bombing on some tunes!!! I like the part where you had to carry a Craftsman tool chest around to tune the thing!!! Best ..Bob

Yes, Bob, the Floyd Rose was a mess to tune. I prefer a stock Fender tremolo, but I still block them off. As I tend to rest my palm on the bridge, the Fender tremolo is not a good choice. I have two Telecaster with Bigsby tremolos. I like them a lot better. When blocked off these are great guitars!

Yes, I just put it back on for looks! I prefer it without that piece in the way. I played it around the house for a month without it on there.

This is my favorite era and factory of Fenders. What a bargain on a well-built instrument.

Mr. Fox, I will be calling you today. I like that Strat! And you. And Ms. Ruth. I think I've got a case that would fit it...Has some wood been replaced where that Floyd was?
