Another victim of the downsize.
This is a Peavey Session 400 chassis, in a custom white pine cabinet, covered in tweed fabric, with a "Spider Web" 15" Black Widow speaker. The corners of the cabinet are dovetailed for strength, I was going to do a natural lacquer finish, but the grain just wasn't that good, so I covered it with tweed, and sprayed several coats of clear lacquer over it to seal it. It also has a leather handle, and chrome corners. It has 1" rubber feet on the bottom, and a spring loaded handle on the bottom like an Evans, to tilt the cabinet back slightly. I covered the speaker baffle with wheat colored Fender grille cloth. The amp weighs around 55 lbs, which should be a little lighter than the original cabinets were. Some amp guru's swear that solid wood cabinets make the amps sound better than plywood, or particle board.
I had Brad Sarno do his capacitor upgrade several years ago before he got too busy with manufacturing his own products. I replaced the filter caps again a couple of months ago, so it has the best sound possible.
I sent the chassis to Peavey a few weeks ago and had them check it out. They couldn't find anything wrong and said everything was within original specs. Actually with the upgraded caps, it should be better than original specs. It comes with a custom cover with piping trim, that was made by Forumite Gary Preston and his wife. This amp sounds great with steel or guitar, as they have been famous for for a long time. It circuit has discreet devices (transistors) which more closely emulates a tube amp, instead of integrated circuits.
The price is $475.00, shipping included in the lower 48, and I will take Paypal. I will ship this amp in two boxes, one for the chassis, the other for the cabinet, to reduce weight and make it easier to handle. If you buy it, you will need to be able to put the chassis back into the cabinet and plug in the speaker and reverb cables. The reverb cables are color coded to keep from getting them backwards.
