I've used Scotty's A6 string set for years, but my teacher feels the semi-flat nature of those strings is not for me. He feels my playing would be better served by a round-wound set. He suggested the Jagwire Herb Remington Signature A6 8-string set. That particular set is not sold here on the Steel Guitar Forum (or at least I could couldn't find it here), so I went to Jagwire's website and ordered them. That was quite a while ago, and I'm starting to think that those string aren't coming.

I have two questions: First, do any of you have any experience with that company. In other words, will those strings ever arrive? Second, if the Jagwire strings aren't going to arrive, do you know of another A6 8-string set I can start using?

Sincerely
Tony L.

You know, when I was playing an electric 8 string, I got those very strings from the forum. Perhaps you should send b0b a pm about it. I thought they were terrific strings, myself.

Tony I recently got an order from Jagwire so they are getting caught up ... mine probably took a couple of months before they arrived, I'm sure the turn around on orders will be better once they catch up with their backlog. They are great strings.

Thanks Paddy:

I'm glad to know that the company is still making this string set.

Mike, thank you for schooling me with that earlier thread. I will definitely make those strings my only strings.

The strings I ordered just arrived in the mail. I'm putting them on now. I think these are going to be my strings of choice from here on in.
