Topic: Question about a knee lever |

| On my guitar i have a knee lever that raises string number 7 a half step i cant seem to figure out how to use this knee lever.Can somebody give me an idea of some of the things i can do with this knee lever. |

Daniel..
At 3rd fret C (A&B pedals down), add the 7th string with the knee lever raise and you have a C7th chord..

Consider a no-pedals major chord grip of strings 8, 6, 5.
Change the grip to 8, 7, 5 and you have a minor chord, when that lever is engaged. |

In the key of C this is a very useful chord lick resolving to F.
1.....At the 3rd fret...Squeeze A & B pedals down after striking strings 4, 5, & 6....
2.....Now keeping A & B down, activate that lever and pick strings 4, 5, and 7 and then release "Only" the A pedal......
3.....Now move the bar to fret 1 and release all pedals and the lever and pick strings 4, 5, & 6 to get an F chord.
For all beginners remember to block the strings after each move of the lick and try to do this as smoothly as possible.

| Thanks to everyone for the help i am still somewhat of a beginner been playing for about two and a half years now and just never really understood this knee lever but i hope to start using it now. |

| For a jazzy way to get into the four chord in the key of G, put the bar at the 4th fret. Engage that lever and play strings 1, 5 with the A pedal and 7 w/ the raise. Then slide that chord to the 3rd fret. You get a fancy four chord, a C 13th. To make it even fancier, add the 2nd string with a rake. |

You can use it for an "augmented" (raised 5th) chord. An example is go to the 3rd fret with your E's lowered a half and you'll have a D6 chord but only play the major triad on strings 4, 5 and 7. string 5 being the root, string 4 being the third and string 7 being the 5th. Play the triad and then depress the knee lever and then stay at the 3rd fret with no pedals for your IV chord............JH in Va.
