From my FaceBook this morning comes the announcement that Tracy Richardson , former drummer for the Hinson's , has passed away .

I am shocked. I wonder what happened to Tracy. He sure was not very old at all. He was a solid drummer and the played for the Hinsons for years. This is a great loss indeed.

I found out Tracy had a rare blood disorder and died in the hospital. I understand he had been ill for a while.

He had amyloidosis.

Reggie, Do you know how old Tracy was and if hed been ill for a while? My heart just aches over this loss.

Tracy was probably 53 or 54. Had been ill and it took them a while to diagnose. He posted about it on Facebook a couple months ago. Now he is gone. When I tried out with the Hinsons in 1979, Tracy borrowed a snare from my brother.
If I had taken that job I would have gotten to know him a lot better...always seemed nice.
