Many non-pedal guitarists will know the brilliant luthier and lap steel manufacturer Bill Asher. His father passed: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/18/arts/television/william-asher-director-of-i-love-lucy-dies-at-90.html?ref=obituaries

HIs mother was Elizabeth Montgomery and his father directed her in over 100 episodes of bewitched.
