I just received a set of (rewound) original pickups for a 63 Sho Bud Fingertip. When you are sitting behind the guitar which way should the coil tap switch move to select the high winding. Should I move it toward the front of the instrument or toward the rear. I assume both E9 and C6 are the same.

The presently installed pickups are not tapped so the switches do nothing, thus the question.

Marvin, I move mine forward for "more", and backward for "less". But in reality, it makes no difference. Say, I have a better switch for those coil taps--those originals suck tone--shoot me an email, and I'll help ya get that rascal wired up. Smile
