One of the Forum members just made a link to this helpful pedal steel site. I can't remember which post this was in but do check this out. It has lots of valuable information. Does anyone know who started this site?

There's an About Me tab in the top right corner.
Looks like it was created by Patrick Brenner (also a member of this Forum). |

Thanks, Chas,
I missed seeing that "About Me" link. I really find the site most helpful and am sure many other members will, stevet |

Yep, got his book some time ago, my new Williams incorporates his tuning as part of my setup, so the 4500 plus chords are available on my copedent. He is working on a C6th companion, can't wait to see that as well. His site is rich with info. |

Thanks for the "heads-up" on this, Steve. I visited it briefly and I'll be spending a lot more time there. |

Nice site. I guess there are different opinions on right hand positions: The site suggest: Try to pick as close to the pickup as possible, with the right hand palm hovering just over the pick up. Winnie Winston's book also suggest's this, but when I attended one of Jeff Newman's seminars Jeff opted against this saying it was too trebely, he always stressed keeping the right hand further up the neck for a fuller tone.
Anyway Thanks for the info Steve. |

I have the chord dictionary, it's excellent. Highly recommended. _________________ Mullen G2; Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb; Goodrich L-120 |
