We would like to thank everybody that came in the Derby Room and made this convention a big success. The Jackpot Band did a super job playing and special thanks to Red Kilby and Mike Siler. Also, special thanks to Lynn Owsley for bringing a busload of entertainers from Nashville: Ron Elliott, Billy Robinson, Darlene & Schatzie, Don & Hazel Helms, and Chris - what a great singer! Buck Grantham also did an outstanding job playing. Another "highlight" was meeting Steve Robinson in our Derby Room, our grandchildren will always treasure that moment! And thank you all for the nice comments on our flag guitar "Old Glory". Thanks again to everyone and we'll see you all at the next convention!

I will say amen to all that was said above. You Kentuckians sure do make an Illinois boy feel welcome. Tell Charlie I will see him in october. Ron, you guys from Maryland are not to be left out in the welcome department either. Those Californian transplants to Texas are pretty nice too.

Jaynette-
I had a booth right outside the Derby room. Several times I had to go take a look as the Derby Guitars sounded fantastic!
My favorite sets featured my dear friend, Buck Grantham. But a big thrill was watching Buck AND Lynn Owsley swapping licks on the Derbys.
It was a kick being so close to great steel playing!

I just want to say how much I missed my Derby playing buddy Dale Wagner this year in St.Louis. He so loved playing the Derby room every year and looked foward to it all year long. I will miss his wonderful talent and his great humor for ever and always. Rest easy my friend. Bobby
