Charlie and the folks in central Louisiana always roll out the red carpet for a great Sunday afternoon of steel pickin'. This is one terrific show that is worth the drive! HEY GUYS! THERE'S A LADY ASKIN' A QUESTION!
Miss Lana, I'll be happy to fill you in, based on what Charlie has told me.
The Medicare Steel Jam WAS geared to an older crowd, but it so happens that many families and children attend. Charlie and several guys all chip-in and donate food and soft drinks for the day. It really is like the old dinner on the grounds at the churches I grew up in....except it's inside.
Admission is $8.00.
This year it will be held in the Forest Hill Academy Gymnasium in Forest Hill, LA. It's about 15-20 miles south of Alexandria, LA. just off I-49 at exit 66. It will be on Sunday, November 13th.
They provide a PA system, but not one that you could take a feed from, since the amps of the instruments are not miked.
The town does not have a major motel, but there are some along I-49 fairly close.
When all else fails, e-mail me.

| Lana - Jeff pretty much covered it. We have had three and this seem's to look like the big one,there are several motels 17 miles north. Forest Hill is a town of only 500 people. We have a Branson type country opry show in F.H.once a month and it draws well!!check out our webb site @thefrontieropry.net..hope you can make it....c ya soon..Charlie.... |

Jeff,we will be charging admission this time due to the building cost us at this location. we will charge $8 cover charge plus we will have consessions plus Harold Robinson will cook a BIG pot of gumbo. c ya in Gulfport first...p/s tell Randy we would LOVE to have him come play..c ya soon..
