Leroy Brenneman passed away this week at 84yrs. Leroy played in the southeast Iowa area with Bill Tyler and the Circle T Ranch Boys in the late 1950's. Tyler (song writer and singer)recorded a 45 (Blue Dawn) (Please Forgive Me Darlin) with the band and played live on Earnest Tubb Midnight Jamboree in 1959 to promote the songs. Leroy played non pedal Little Roy Wiggins style and later a 4 pedal Gibson steel, then ShoBud Baldwin and finally ShoBud LDG. He spent recent years playing in church. _________________ 1976 Birdseye U-12 MSA with Telonics 427 pickup, 1975 Birdseye U-12 MSA with Telonics X-12 pickup, Revelation preamp, Carbon Copy Delay and Hall Of Fame Reverb, Crown XLS 1002, 2- 15" Eminence Wheelhouse speakers, ShoBud Pedal, Effects Pedals. 1949 Epiphone D-8. |

dennis, golly gee, it seems some of the boys deemed steady pioneers are kinda lost to the art, rather than the art lost to them. glad you are helping keep their spirit alive. he will never be alone with fellows like you in the know. precious memories, stay tuned, kenny |

Condolences to the family. I remember doing a few things with LeRoy in the late 60's and early 70's. I lived in Brooklyn and I think he lived around Kalona. A really nice person. |
