The day began for me when I got to preach at my son-in-law's church a Father's Day message. Then we went on over to the Branson Community Center. I shouldn't admit this, but I got sorta lost in all those curves and hills, and arrived a few minutes late. The steelers had already started playing and a nice crowd was having a good time listening to the steel music. I was really fortunate because our vice president, Charlie Steichen carried my stuff in, and Leonard Robertson carried my stuff out and one of our guests also helped carry out my stuff. This guest was a fine drummer. Steve Melchi, Terry Bethel, Eddie Lane, and David White, were all serenading me as I put my guitar together. No sooner had I got it together and sat down, it was my turn to play the song they were already playing. I didn't even have time to tune up, but that Emmons was already in tune. You should have seen that table of "goodies" the ladies had prepared for us. It was 'yum-yum' from one end of the table to the other. Terry Bethel spoke to the audience and told them to applaude us after each one played and the audience was good to respond. Our singing drummer, Russ Burns, sang and played drums at the same time. And our bass player, Buddy Lewis, played that bass, low and mean, and sang at the same time. I couldn't begin to do that!! We had some guests who gave Russ and Buddy some rest, and they played and sang a few songs. We stopped for a couple of minutes to have prayer for our roving reporter, John Zazuliak, who was to have surgery the next day. Everyone was so reverent and you could tell they were concerned as we prayed for John that the Lord would guide the physician's hand and the operation would be a success! Our faithful photograper, Bill Myrick was on the job as always, with his splendid picture machine and BOY does he take good pictures, clear and concise. We're all looking forward to the Big Show, the Super Event the last weekend of July! Stay tuned for further information on the SUPER WEEKEND!!

Wow, Jeremiah what a thorough & accurate account of the events. I feel as if I was there myself. Come to think of it, I think I was.
