I had the privilege of attending Jeff Newman's June Jam in Nashville many years ago and it was a tip-top line up of tip-top players, (steel players, that is). But I can say that we've had almost that many steel players at our June Jam in Branson in the past! I'm looking on my kitty cat calendar and that date is: June 17th from 1-5 p.m. at the Community Center in Branson. If you've never attended our June Jam, Mr. Steel Guitar player, you're sure welcome to join us. Dust off that steel guitar and bring it with you! I hope I have written this soon enough to work this in your schedule!!! When you get to Branson, turn on Hiway 248 and go east and turn the first street, which is Compton, and the Center is at the bottom of the hill. Easy parking and no steps into the building! You'll be greeted by a friendly atmosphere of your 'steel guitar family' that you haven't met yet!! I hope you have a safe journey! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

The Branson Community Center is a really neat place to come and play or just listen and enjoy the fellowship.
The outside looks like this --------
The inside is comfy and roomy with a good sound -----
Oh yea --always some good "nibblin'" too --
ya all come now--- ya hear ??? - |

No, Ransom, there won't be any pole dancers, no show-casing, no contest, no one trying to outdo the other, just a lot of great steel guitar music, and some great snacks, and some super great fellowship! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

Hey everybody, Guess what?
I'm off that weekend and I will be there, not that anybody really cares!
I haven't been able to be at the jams because of work, but MT has slowed down this summer and I will be there.
Also, Chuck Landry (Mel's Drummer) , Al Weir (Mel's Bass Player) Barry Bales (an ex Statesider) and me (Terry Bethel) Are playing the Moose Lodge in Harrison Ar, on June 29th and 30th. The group is called the 4 Statesiders. Dancing is from 8:00 til 12:00 PM of course, they have food and drinks available. We WOULD love to see some of you people from Northern Arkansas and Southern MO come out. We are playing country music that's right I said country music, shuffles and two steps, line dancing all the ol' good stuff.

I will try and attend the Jam Session on Sunday. Like you Terry, I am booked to play on the 29th and 30th. My new band, Keith Hilton and The Lucky Bluegill band will be playing at the American Legion on west sunshine street, between Springfield and Republic on the 29th. On the 30th we will be playing at the Community Center in Nixa. By the way, the American Legion job will be like the good old days--lots of people smoking, and lots of people drinking, and a wild women--just like the good old days. At Nixa it is no drinking and no smoking. |
