Hi Gary...
Before my last computer crash, I had a compiled list of 103 Ohio Steel Players... The majority I think answered a question similar to yours. I think I still have a hard copy around somewhere. I was going to pass it to Mike Wilson at Chubby's last show to give to you, but he didn't make it or I missed him. Some of these super players may not want to go public, so I wont post it... Drop me an email.

Don't forget Leonard Bick over in Washington Courthouse Ohio. He played with Paycheck about three years and I use him quite often on the road. It would be pretty damn hard if not impossible to find many players any better. Plays both necks really well and he's into Emmons to boot. I'm proud to call him my friend. WC |

Gary I'm about 90 miles south west of you guys. I'm just across the river in WV. I have a bunch of relatives in and around Columbus. I've heard a lot of good things about you guys up there.
I live across from Meigs and Gallia counties over in the old country. Hope to make it up to one of your events someday.
FWIW I bought my guitar out of Ohio and have been playing about 8 months or so...... |

Gary,
I'm in London Ohio- 20 miles west of Columbus. I purchased a GFI D10 Ultra from a forum member back in January so I don't count myself a "player" yet. However, the 6 to 10 hours of practice a day that I have been putting in is starting to pay off. This thing is really addicting, beautiful, painful, fun, agravating... well, you get the idea. Anyway, I really appreciate b0b and all of the forum members because the learning curve has a flatter line thanks to them.
Skeeter Wolf lives in Columbus, I assume he is a foum member but he is certainly one of the finest steel players in these parts.
Take care, Keith |

I am originally from Chillicothe. I use to play some in Columbus, but mostly Chillicothe, Lancaster and Newark. I moved to North Carolina in 1998 and quit playing. I just recently started playing again and am having alot of fun learning what I forgot. Hopefully I can catch one of your jams sometime when I'm up visiting the family. |

I think Wayne Hobbs is around that area.
Great player, I understand that he will be making an appearance at the ISGC this year. _________________ Ray Harrison
