| ever watch the fly with jeff goldblum? brendle and the fly fused at the molecular level? my ldg is on its way back from bill rudolph sporting a brand new specially adapted undercarriage. shobud and williams joined at the hip. 5 levers and 6 pedals. ha, i cant play 3 and 2. kudos to such a great guy, had it done in less than 2 weeks.this steel's long journey is finally coming to a close. i had a few possible options, couldnt get any sure thing to pan out, and now i couldnt be happier. pics coming soon if ya'll are interested in seeing this. |

| wow. no replies at all. not a "thats great or desecration of a bud or anything" . this is like a heart transplant to this guitar. im excited to have a modern carriage in it, i wonder if its one of a kind? |

You shouldn't EXPECT replies. But here is one fer ya. I (as many others probably are) am awaiting the pics. Can't wait to see it. A Bud with a Williams heart, can't get much better than that.

The ice cream situation is a crime. You should expect parents/grandparents to bring ice cream. It's what they were put on earth to do. But seriously, can't wait to see the Bud. Blue is my favorite color.

| it came today. sure looks good to me. i'll try to take sme pics tomorrow. busy as a cat in new litter today, and now im at work. so i'll try to get some pics as soon as i can. i work 32 hours every weekend so it may be monday. sigh. i havent even had time to put it together. but it looks good. soon |

Just curious. I have an old LDG that sat in my front room, and the sun changed the colour over the years...it is now faded green, and I was thinking of refinishing it. I build classical guitars, so I know how to lacquer and finish an instrument.
My question is, if I strip the guitar to the bare wood, will I lose the Sho-Bud logo and the LDG logo? If so, I know that the Sho-Bud logo is available, but the LDG logo?

| It is pretty. Mines a lot darker. I wanted midnite blue. Yep you'll need new logos. Bobby seymore. They look good. Put on a few coats of lacquee. Let it dry. Put on decals. Let dry. More lacquer. |

Liquor, Lacquer....doing Lacquer in an unventilated place is like liquor on overdose. Thanks for the logo info, but is the LDG logo available? I will not strip the unit until I know that there is an LDG logo available.

| if you go to the forum search, type in blue ldg, a pic of mine should come up. it shows the ldg logo i got from bobby seymore. its a pretty good looking logo. if you order, id get two sets, just in case you inadvertantly mess one up or it tears or something. when theyre soapy you can move em around. im not sure if its exactly like an original, but i havent hardly seen two steel guitars alike since ive been looking at the forum... |

| Lane I did it myself. Up close it still needs a lot of buffing which I will do by and by. Now the wood is blue...but I put blue in the lacquer on the last two coats so I could tell how deep I was sanding and buffing. |
