I just listened to Mike Sweeney's new Gospel CD. It's a really great CD. The song selection is excellent. He plays the "Family Bible" with such soul. "Morning has Broken" is a great arrangement. "I Saw the Light" is done as a fine C6 swing. The mix on this album is really impressing. The Steel Guitar is out front, where it should be, and you can hear all the other instruments on it really clearly. Mike, you did a great job on this one. I am happy to have it in my collection.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. This project was a fun one to record. I had help from a great group of musicians. I'm glad it has been so well received. Thanks, as well, to those who have already ordered and to those who bought a copy in Saluda. Your support keeps players like me going back to the studio.

I got my copy from Mike last weekend while I was in Nashville and it is fantastic! Mike's playing on both necks is superb and there are some neat arrangements on some old Gospel standards.  |
