Edit: electronics are sold; cabinet available.
(See latest posts for info)
This is a parts amp that I don't feel the need to drag around anymore. It's missing a few things, in addition to the speaker, such as the power LED, some knobs, some chassis screws (some holes are stripped), handle and wheels, original Tolex, and probably some other things but that's what I can think of (the pictures will tell all). The fuse holder is broken also. I did hook it all up and with an external speaker (didn't hook up the reverb tank) and it does seem to actually work...to what extent, I don't know for sure. Someone modded in another pot on the input side, which seems to be a trim for the #2 input jack.
So, yeah...this is being sold as a parts amp, as-is.
Located in Sacramento area.
Make offer.

Hi Duane,
Do you happen to have the remote effects switch for that 500 that clips on the leg of the steel? I would like to buy one of those if you have one. Thanks |

I don't. Sorry. I've owned so many Peavey amps that have had that DIN-looking connector for a remote, and I don't even think I've ever seen one of those remotes in my life. |

A note on shipping...
As the amp is, the size of the box I'd expect to put it in would be 17x32x27", and weighs 65 lbs. The bad thing is that UPS will bill it for 89 lbs, just out of spite I guess (and I can't even get the FedEx site to work). This drives up shipping cost, but for those who want everything but the cabinet, I can always trash that and send you everything else, bringing down the size of the box and the weight of the cabinet. Getting rid of the grill would shrink things down further.
It's an idea, anyhow. |

Don't trash it Duane! If someone buys the rest people might be interested in the cab alone.

So, concerning the cabinet by itself and shipping...
I did manager to find a smaller box that it will fit into: 30x26x17. However, even at 30 lbs., it's still pretty pricy for most places, especially back east (coming from 95677). The cheapest rates I've been seeing is on FedEx.
So...that's what we're up against. |

Apparently, this cabinet is not worth shipping, so if anyone in the Sacramento area wants it, they can have it (badges not included anymore). However, they'll need to pick it up this weekend, because it's headed for the dumpster on Tuesday. |
