Here's a couple Mfgs to look at...
Steel Seat
Steelers Choice
Walker
I've never owned one of these, I use a round swivel seat without a back (kinda like a drum throne).

Here's a rather lengthy thread on the subject of seating should you care to wade through it...

The two that spring immediately to mind are both Forumites (at least I think Steeler's Choice is, but he's not on much if he still is)
www.steelseats.com is one and the other is
www.steelerschoice.com
Mine is a '94 Steeler's Choice, and I'm happy with it.

the steelers choice is a fine seat
the walker is a great seat too

I would point out for you real big guys like me
if you get a seat with a back try to get one that
your hind end wont be pushed to far off the front of the seat because in my case at least it hurts my right calf of my leg hurt a lot so I had to remove the back to
make it work for me..... just a FYI thing
used seats find there way On the forum
at various times so keep your eyes pealed....

Great catch - my original seat was a Steeler's Choice _with_ a back - after a year of back pain, I realized that the back of the seat was causing all of my back pain because _my_ backside_ was pushing me too far forward <g>. I had Dan build me a new one without the seat back and I've been a happy camper ever since.

The Steelers Choice seat is going to be hard to beat!
I have the one with the back rest and power supply. Most comfortable seat I have ever owned!

As far as the back rest pushing you forward? I don't get it! If my ass ever gets that big I think I will be more concerned about the aluminum legs buckling and me falling plumb off the thing!

for gigging I always use my Walker seat with the side compartment, it's top of the line. The one I have at home behind my "home" steel guitar is an old Marlen seat with no back.......JH in Va.

My sweet wife orderd a new lite swivel top seat from Joe Naylor at Steelseat.com. He custom made it for me and I just got it for our anniversary! Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but wait til Wednesday night!!!! It is extremely well built and comfy too! Thanks Joe!! Just enough room, and lighter than my old seat. Much better built too!!
