Very sorry to hear this sad news. The early Bee Gees, during the British Invasion period, were a huge influence on me. (Their song, "I Started a Joke", has been a staple of my steel guitar repertoire for the past several years.) I didn't follow them into their disco phase but was always amazed at how successfully they had reinvented themselves to become huge in that genre as well. Extremely talented writers and singers. His twin brother, Maurice, also died a few years ago, also of intestinal problems. This leaves Barry as the last man standing. R.I.P., Robin.

Very sad news for sure. I feel for Barry Gibb a lot as he's now lost all three of his brothers, first it was Andy, then Maurice and now Robin! I can't imagine how he feels at this moment. Robin was always my favorite in the Bee Gees vocals over Barry mostly due to his great lead vocals on "I Started a Joke" and others. I have all their older recordings on LPs.........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
