What a nice mellow tone you get out of a non-traditional lap steel. What amp are you using ? _________________ Sacramento Western Swing Society Hall of Fame, 1992 |

Billy,
Thank you for your interest, I always use my Vox Valvetronix 30 Watt Amplifier which is a Modeling Amp with a big selection of preset sounds, in this case I used "Tweed 4x10" which is a Fender sound, and I build all my own Guitars.
James.

The old Fender "Bassman" Amp had 4 -10" Speakers and was covered with the "Tweed" fabric. It was very popular with Steel Players but not used much by Bass Players. I used one myself for several years back in the 60's. I wonder if this was the pre-set sound you refer to ? _________________ Sacramento Western Swing Society Hall of Fame, 1992 |

That would be the one Billy, they can't, of course mention the name of another maker, just point you in that direction. Here is a picture of the presets.
And thank you for the compliments Andrea, I hardly deserved one on the voice though.
