Hi.

Does anyone know what effects/amp Gary Carter is using with Marty Stuart?

He has a gorgeous tone--that may be a Nashville 400 behind him but I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance gentlemen.

Someone posted here that it is a Fender HotRod amp. As far as the effects I do not remember what he is using. He does have a great sound for sure.

we saw him a couple months ago at a Connie Smith show and got to visit with him a little bit after the show. He was playing a Nashville 112 and had one effect on the floor but I can't recall what it was.. He had a great sound and played some really great tasty fills behind Connie.

I just watched the Marty show on Rural TV and it sure looked like he had a Nashville 112. I thought anything besides Fender was a dirty word on that show and I often wondered why he didn't use a Steel King. His amp for sure had a Peavey logo on it. I too wondered if he had a little delay on it, but they didn't show the floor next to him.

The steel and amp are only part of the sound .he could put strings on a 2 by 4 and plug into a ditch and sound great.

Really like the tone Gary has on the Marty Stuart show. I never would have guessed he was using a Hot Rod Deluxe though. I was guessing a Fender Twin till this post.
BTW- Is Gary any kin to Bud Carter??

Actually he switched to a Fender Steel King. There are NO Peavey amps on the show. You can see it on the Marty Stuart Show page for June 2nd.

I'm telling you that yes there was a Peavey amp by Gary Carter on the show I saw. I also had read that Fender sponsered Marty, but what I saw had Peavey on the front and looked like a Nashville 112.

Possibly a guest's amp. Again, look at the clip from Saturday's show above in my post.

I've seen Gary using a PV on the show before. I know he uses Fender too.

Tony, you are right. I just heard from Gary. I've never seen it, but you are correct. He has used a 112. I was mistaken.
