my ultra delrin connectors loosen up after playing. I've tried various degrees of thumbscrew tightening, turning connectors around, reversing the rods, they still come loose. dont really want to use loctite, not sure it would stick anyway. any ideas? |

Joe, I've had this problem in the past. In my case, maybe not yours, I didn't completely seat the pedal rod connector so that the thumbscrew was centered on the delrin groove.
So the remedy for me was to connect the pedal rod, tighten the thumbscrew to finger tightness, then try to move it laterally left and right. If it comes off again, reconnect and wobble the connector left to right gently as you tighten the thumbscrew. If this is what's going on, you'll feel it center itself. Finally, tighten the thumbscrew more tightly.
Hope this fits your problem and that it helps.

bobs advice is good, you have to make sure that the screw is in the center and in the groove.
but anyhow, the delrin bearing that is screwed to the pedal is coming loose from time to time on my A-pedal.
i just took a pliers and tightened it up quite a bit and it works so long.
i wouldn`t hesitate to use lock-tite if it comes loose again. |
