Hank Williams interview with Alexander City, AL. DJ Bob McKinnon March of 1950.
There's also a tune by Hank Williams, that I've never heard before. "There's Nothing As Sweet As My Baby" The steel guitar break on this tune sounds more recent than 1950. ???

Thanks Roger !! I thought I had all of Hanks recordings but I never heard that song before !! It surely was Hank singing !! The steel definitely does not sound like Don "H"s style and the fiddle ?? and never heard a piano before on any of Hanks records !! It just didn't sound like Hanks other recordings !! But I really did enjoy the song !!! And did Audrey ever do those Decca records ??? the old geezer AKA Eddie "C" |

Hank wrote this song for Carl Smith. It was a regional hit for Carl being the flip side of "Let's Live A Little". This is a very good rendition by Hank though. First time I've heard him sing it live. I've heard the home recording he made with just his guitar.
Too bad this was never put out as a single. |

For sure. It's a pedal steel. This version is an overdub done after his death. Here's the version that was used, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtTSPFaoMAI I believe this to be from a GOO show/radio performance. He's talking to a fella named "Carl" at the end of the tune. In this one, you can hear Don's break. The video you posted a link to, Roger, drops Don out completely for the steel break. Different fiddle, too.
I do believe I've also heard a demo of just Hank doing this one.
There's no correlation between the radio interview and the audio track in Rogers link. Done at two different times. Whoever posted the clip on youtube just threw an audio track in there with the interview. |

Hey charlie C, what gives man, I just noticed that there is a comment, in the link I posted, by "glipzik" made 11 months ago. This comment on youtube is the exact same post, word for word, that you just made above? 11 months later? How is that? Different video from the one Roger posted a link to? Confused. It is almost 3am though... |
