Paddy, if you look at the 'Night Life' thread in this section, I've detailed all the software I use to do my YouTube videos.

This is a copy and paste of a post I did last week.
In this case everything is free.

Chuck
Instead of watching it on You Tube, why don't you download the film.
You will save on internet activity, and the file can be played anytime you prefer
Here's how
Copy the link
http://youtu.be/3kIaepr9VRw
To copy a link you click and drag the entire line, and with the right click you do choose copy (Works on both Mac and PC)
Then go to this site
http://keepvid.com/
and paste the copied link into the link space and press on the download button on that same link space
You will be given multiple choices of how you want to save the file, I always choose *.MP4 and it will save the film onto your hard drive.
Then find a program called VLC player (Free and fantastic, as it can play anything) and watch it with that program.
Here's the main site
http://www.videolan.org/
They have versions for all operating systems.
Enjoy

Why not just remove the wwwdot and replace it with save and hit enter, then hit run and when the page pops up with the numerous files, pick your favorite, I usually use the highest quality mp4.
No software to purchase or run, can't get any simpler than this. |

Realplayer let's you download youtubes with one click, then you can convert it to just about any thing you want.
Haven't figured out how to slow down vids and keep the audio on, though. |

I am with Tim, I use RealPlayer. It pops up a bar on the upper right of all YouTube videos for the first 5 seconds or so. Then you can save the video, or just save an MP3 if you only want to listen/burn. Simplest to use. _________________ Dave Simonis

I found one I can slow down and keep the audio on and works great, Media Player Classic Home Cinema, it has one little glitch asking for a runtime update but other than that it works nice. I been using it to work on Gary Carter's video. |
