I once owned a Model G Rickenbacker eight string, but long ago traded it in to buy a Fender Stringmaster Triple neck, which eventually was traded in to purchase a Fender 1000 and etc. Many times, since then, I have thought that I would like to have that old Rickenbacker back in my posession. I have hunted around but not beem able to find one anywhere. The Bakelite (black and white) models are faily common, but this Model G is a sliver body with gold trim, a lucite fret board and Transparent volume and tone knobs on it, and has hinged cover over the tuning pegs. Have any of you run across one of these rare instruments? I have an interest. (If the price is right)

You see them on ebay occassionally, but if in great condition sellers usually want a mint. You should have better luck here.
