I see Johnny Cox is wanting to sell a purty guitar that I wanna buy and load up, and I thought I could make it happen, but it fell through.
I'll offer y'all the same deal I thought I had with my buddy.
I'll take my D-10 9&5, keep 4 pedals for my U-12 I wanna buy, replace the back neck with a pad (or leave it as a lap steel, if you like: go ahead, nuke my plan to build my own lap steel), rod P5 how you want it, or even rerod it for you.
All for $1150 plus shipping.
I'll entertain trades, but I want to end up with a universal of at least 9&5, so bear that in mind. And I'd really like Johnny's guitar, and help him bring that triple home.
It's a 74, year confirmed by Reece, white tidewood formica with rare and pretty black anodizing on all aluminum. I normally don't think much of the tidewood, but the black anodizing makes it a purty guitar

And a close-up of that pretty black against the tidewood.
And because I hate shopping and don't want to be in a position of having money and no guitar, I'll close this if Johnny sells his Uni.

EDIT: B0b recommended contact info for guests to contact me: either email kcsteelplayer@aol.com or call/text (prefer text) 8162060239

Bump for the price drop. Johnny dropped his price, so I'll come down.
I've also been told of a S-12 in Iowa for 11, but it's short a pedal, so I could leave it up when Johnny sells his, but I'd have to keep the price to cover a pedal purchase.

PS: WTF?!? Johnny hasn't sold that 12?!?!

What can I say? I only have guitar, no money. So, in the words of Heather Myles, "I do the best I can."

Although someone else bought Johnny's guitar, I found another U-12 near me for less, so I'm dropping the price.
If you want it as a D-10, the price would be higher, but I'll entertain offers.

I've gotten some emails the last couple days. The guitar is still available as a 5&5 SD-10 at the listed price.
If you want it as a D-10, which I'd rather see happen (I hate the idea of decommissioning a back neck), then buy a relatively loaded U-12, and I'll trade even up. Ideally at least 9 & 5, but I can live with 8 & 5

It sold, and B0b has his donation.
Here's what she looks like.
I paid Cody's Upholstery to pad and cover the pad, this guitar taught me I'm no upholsterer.

And the underside:
