This is basically a late model Sho Bud Pro 1. Made for Fender by Sho Bud in the 70's. This guitar is in great playing condition. 3 pedals and 4 knee levers. The Lacquer finish has some cracking from age but other than that the guitar is very clean and has not been tampered with. Comes with hardshell case. $1,200 plus shipping.
Thanks,
Gary

I'd say this should sell pretty quick. Looks like a piece a collector would be interested in. Tommy...... |

This is a one of a kind First of all this is a Souped up version of the early fender steels made by Sho Bud, it has a Pro changer a wooden neck Sho Bud pick up. I had the little fender student type steel it was excellent little guitar and in my opinion quite superior to the Mavericks and some other so called student steels. But add the wooden neck like this has Pro pick up,Pro changer this is well worth the money any beginner looking for a nice quality steel this is it boys!. Lite weight and no doubt will stay in tune and look at this looks like NEW!.
I'm envious I would love to have this if I had the Do re mi:)...this will be gone quick... What a nice piece |

This is not a "one of a kind". It's a Fender Artist, Sho Bud built over 4000 of these in S10s and D10s.[/b]

Kevin's right, they really do sound like an old Fender and they play real nice like a Sho-Bud. |

Bob Sorry but I have seen a gazillion d 10's but never another single neck one. But I knew someone would prove me wrong. I doubt anyone would ever see another one in as good of shape as this one is, It is a version of the little student steel I almost BET it is the same body I played mine almost a year. they sound great. Guess I should just keep quiet, fender probably made 20 thousand single necks... and Leo kept them in a climate controlled warehouse until yesterday:). |

I've researched these. 4400 units, D-10s and S-10s, were made in mid 1970s (1975-6) in black or mahogany-brown and listed in the Fender catalogue as "Artist D-10/S-10". The changer top is special; the pivot is a knife edge and not a rod and they seem NOT to break strings easily. As was said, it's a Fender guitar with precise-feel ShoBud mechanics. In the same era the Fender Student was a re-badged version of the vinyl covered "Maverick".
This one looks a very clean example. _________________ Tony Russell Davis |
