E-D change through half-stop

Did anyone try this?
Does the pull work on the 8th and the 4th string with a 11.5?
Does that string return at pitch then or is it to much asked for a 4th string? so it needs to travel from D-D#-E-F to F# and that on all pitches in tune...
Can the split tuning handle this too?
