Worked a show today with champ Dobro player Johnny Belar

Our band was hired by Jerry Heathcock from Nashville for a local job. He brought champion dobro player Johnny Belar with him.

Johnny is fast and attacks the guitar, but plays about anything. I did Bud's Bounce and he took a solo on the dobro.

A side note, Jerry Heatchcock's father, Joe Heathcock, was the Sheriff in "The Last Picture Show" movie. I met Joe in Nashville when I worked at Little Roy Wiggins lower Broadway music store, he was a "regular" at our music store jams.
