Over the past year, some folks have asked whether I would offer personalized, online lessons via Skype. I have been thinking about this and would consider getting set up for it if there is enough interest. So, if this sounds like something you'd like to do with me, please either send me an email or post here to let me know. This could be either E9 or C6 (or both).

Gordy, the issue with tabbing a tune like "Four" is that it takes me many hours to do that and then, in the end, I have no idea whether yours might be the only copy I'd sell! Of course, I'd be happy to teach my approach to the song to you or anyone in a Skype lesson.

I would be interested but how are you going to address different skill levels? Is this going to be a group type of class? Can someone jump in the middle of a series of classes or are the classes going to be topic based? Like scales, using the A&B pedals, work on a particular song?
Just curious on what the format would be.
BTW, I moved the steel (Excel) you sold me back to E9th. It sounds good, but I don't think I do  yet. |

Wow - I'd very much enjoy picking your brain....I'll get a hold of you soon. PS - I'm playing with Stowell in a nice concert setting, and playing What is this thing called love on steel - that'll be a tough but fun duo...

I spent a year doing pan flute lessons through Skype with a fellow in Hawaii (Brad White). It worked like a charm.
My advice however would be to use external speakers on the computer. The built in speakers on computers are still third rate at best. You will also have to have a high speed Internet hook up.
