Congratulations to Mr. Dewitt "Scotty" Scott upon his induction into the WESTERN SWING MUSIC SOCIETY OF THE SOUTHWEST (WSMSS) HALL OF FAME, ON JULY 16, 2005, at the annual WSMSS Award Ceremonies held at Ernies Palace, Yukon, Oklahoma.
Scotty receiving a deserved award rather than presenting one at the ISGC.
Scotty and Mary with the HOF award and a Proclamation from the Governor of Oklahoma in honor of Scotty's contribution to western-swing music.

Scotty looks like a real "Western Swinger".
An award well deserved, and fitting that he is a steel guitarist an instrument which is so "out front" in western swing music.
BRAVO !!! to our dear friend and to that lovely lady, Mary, standing next to him.

| Wow! Mary and I had a great time at the WSMSS Hall Of Fame induction ceremonies. A special thanks to President - Robert Cobb, Vice President - Chuck Hayes, Secretary - Bobby Dixon, Treasurer - Harry Coffman and Troy Burgin - Historian. Everyone was so nice to all of us. The other steel players that were inducted were Herby Remington, Albert Talley and J.D. Walters. Herb was the only player that was unable to attend and we all missed him. The presentation was at Ernie's Palace in Yukon, OK. Of course, with me being raised up in Yukon was a double treat for me as many of my old school friends were in the audience. To everyone that had a hand in putting this event together I say, "Thank you so much". I will remember this day for a long time to come. Scotty |

Ernest, Roy is being inducted into the Pioneers of Western Swing next month in Washington. Scotty was inducted into the WSMSS Hall of Fame which is a different organization.
