Susan,
I will definitely try to see you on July 30 (not the 39th! ) in Philadelphia. Let me know if you're coming into town early, because I'm playing a free outdoor jazz combo gig that afternoon in Philly; maybe you'd like to sit in!?

Susan's schedule (above) for Thurs., July 21 lists "Dharma Cafe" in Washington D.C., but there's no phone listing for this place. Her website lists the July 21 date as taking place at "Sangha Cafe" in Washington, D.C. Again, no such phone listing. "Sangha" is actually a performance space in next-door Takoma Park, Md., and this has gotta be where her concert is actually taking place. Sangha is at 7014 Westmoreland Ave. in Takoma Park, (301)891-3214.
Her next concert after this, Saturday night July 23 in Baltimore, is scheduled for "Red Room". "Red Room" is actually in Normal's Book and Record Store, at 425 E 31st St. in Baltimore, (410) 243-6888. I'm looking forward to hearing her trio, probably in Baltimore. --Steve[This message was edited by Stephan Miller on 20 July 2005 at 08:02 PM.] |

Anybody in the area where she will be appearing, better drop in and enjoy the show. You will be pleasantly surprised by her creative interpretations on the steel guitar.....al

Caught Susan in solo, duo, and trio format last night in Baltimore. Beautiful at times, right close to scary at others, frequently amazing, always inventive. If you don't mind having a mental door or two blown off its hinges, do yourself a favor. --Steve |
