The Central Iowa Steel Guitar Show and Dance is Sunday May 1,2011 at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 201 west High Street in Marshalltown Iowa. The players list and peformance times are as follows:
11:00 - Bob Harris
11:50 - Lowell Davis
12:40 - Kirk Dighton
1:30 - Roger Miller
2:20 - Vic Switzer
3:10 - Bob Frederick
4:00 - Lefty Schrage

Say do any of you guy's know of r steeler and lead picker from up around Ame's by the name of Dan Steel? Used to play with him in Rio Grande Valley but haven't been able to find him. Thank's Wes

Wesley, I believe Dan has a rural address outside of Madrid or Woodward, Iowa. Probably Google map would find his address, etc. Dan Steel 34 Ames, Iowa, Dan Steele 59? Woodward, Iowa.Dan Steele out of Woodward is the person I know.

Kirk,
By any chance do you know of a man who plays a CORDOVOX by the name of Ray Jensen? My first band experience was with Ray,and he was a farmer from Marshalltown Iowa. Thanks in advance.

Hi
I haven't been to one of these shows before, and am curious about it. Does anyone know what happened at the previous show?
Is it mostly like a concert where people just go to hear the listed players play and/or dance to the music? Or is it more like a show where there are both billed players but also other players and vendors with steel guitars (and other equipment)?

| Dave, look at the date of the post. That listing was last year's show. I'm pretty sure Dan Hedlund, Devere Adams, etc. are on this year's show. It's this Sunday, May 6 at Marshalltown KC Hall. Heck they're even lettin' me play on it!...lollol....see ya there, Dave Chockley |
