Chris Scruggs is the grandson of the late Earl Scruggs and son of Gail Davies. For a while, he was also the singer of BR549.

Not to take the focus of how well he plays, his uncle Ron Davies is one of my favourite singers:

Chris is so talented. I love his steel playing...and he is a very humble great guy to boot!

hey, --right at the top of this clip--Is Chris playing the faux-right hand piano 8-to-the-bar chord stabs on steel?--by using his left hand to "dead bar" the strings instead of using the ol' sawed off broomstick bar?

Cool!
