I just acquired a couple of Bill Lawrence 710's and want to change out the George L's on my Carter. The wires on the BL are black and white and the George L are black and red. I assume the black is the same on both and the red on the GL is the same as the white on the BL. Am I right?

Yes, Richard, but even if you wired it the other way it wouldn't matter. The only time that matters is when there is more than 1 pickup--they would be out of phase when used together if only one was wired incorrectly.
