I have a dunlop tonebar 920. (7.5 oz) - 7/8" X 3-1/4" Slide and I dropped it on the concrete a couple days ago and now the abrasion catches on the strings. Yuck. My father is a machinist and has the tools to smooth it out...Is this ok? How thin is the stainless coating? Thanks again for all the wisdom! |

If it's stainless, it's almost certainly solid stainless.
If he has the tools and toys to fix it, that's awesome. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I have done that several times with Stainless Steel bars he is correct - the chrome plated ones can sometimes be polished too - he can figure that out.
