Hey all,
Sorry for a first post FS ad, but this steel isn't moving on the gear page where I usually live so I wanted to offer it here.
Tom built this steel for me in March 2008, this steel has served me well but I'm no longer using a steel as a secondary instrument so I'll offer it to a new home. Tom's original teardrop shape, made with walnut and flamed maple with flamed walnut accents/covers. The pickup is a Lollar Gibson console replica which sounds outstanding, everything from treble cry to throaty moan with a turn of the tone knob. 8 strings, abalone dots with silver surrounds and fret markers. 25 inch scale makes it a bit large for a lap, but great for a stand with it's full tone and easier bar slants. Essentially mint condition with no wear/dings that I'm aware of, the finish is Tom's wonderful hand applied Tru-oil finish. No case, but I'll ship in a slightly modified Baby Taylor gig bag (the end has been opened as the steel is a bit longer than the bag), for maximum protection. Hell if I remember the gauges Stephen, but it's currently tuned in a c6/7 hybrid, C-E-G-A-Bb-C-E-G.
